Mahjong
MAHJONG
Our keen Mahjong players meet at the Church building on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 1 pm to about 4 pm. This has proven to be a very popular pastime for many. If you have never played before, we have some excellent teachers who will patiently work with you while you learn how to play. There is a $2 gold coin donation for incidentals and venue costs. We also enjoy a cuppa and something delicious to eat at the halftime mark. Mahjong is not usually run on public holidays. We also have a short recess before and after Christmas.
- Who can come? These are part of our Church UUFIT Program adopted in 2015 [and continuing within our 2023 >> ongoing .. SUC Mission plan]: "We aim to unite ourselves and others in our community through friendship, fitness, fun, interests, information, insight - for physical, spiritual, and mental health". This congregation of the Uniting Church at Sawtell has always believed we are a part of the local community and they are a part of us. We use the name UUFIT to cover all of the ongoing programs we see as doing our part to build up our community. We freely subsidise each program to keep the cost to you at a minimum for participants. UUFIT stands for Uniting U (you with) Friendship, I (Inspiration), T (Training) - We run a number of programs under this banner.
